Macellaio RC South Kensington - London

We always go, always, ALWAYS to this restaurant when we stay in the area as their food and service is excellent; we have never been disappointed and cannot judge them high enough. Yeah, it's on the expensive side, but that's South Kensington!

Macellaio has the potential to eat a beautiful place, but they had a free day when we were there. The burger of my guest was overcooked and my poussin was tiny.

I had heard great things about this restaurant and was thrilled to try it. The front of the house was with tables, but unfortunately the service stopped. We had to ask for order three times and the server was only interested in selling the most expensive meat in large portions. He showed us three sizes before he was frustrated and chose a part for us, of course it was too big and never finished. The server also got the court wrong, we had ordered what the table had next to us and did not offer to replace it. The beginning of the bone marrow was very good, but unfortunately the remaining dishes, including vegetable supplements, were covered in large amounts of oil:

Very good food and explanations from the waiter regarding the different types of meat. the fries were a bit expensive for a side dish, this was the only negative aspect of our evening.
