Only a delicious menu to share with friends and colleagues in a comfortable environment.
Unpretentious location (it is an old pub) but wonderful, authentic Spanish cuisine and a carefully selected list of Spanish weeping (from good value to eye-water prices), which they probably do not in the position to find elsewhere. handy for did modern, shakespeare’s globe etc., in a range where there is not much of this quality. we go regularly and love it.
Disappointing experience. Christmas lunch with two colleagues I work close and this restaurant had my attention for some time. Although the ambiente was pleasant, there are better Spanish eating in this city. disappointing was that we were not informed with a 2pm reservation that the kitchen was closed at 2.30 when we tried to order more tapas, we were informed that the kitchen was closed. neither the manager, nor the 2 waiters who serve our table had warned us that we were responsible for not having ordered in time! no excuse or try to work out something. left hungry and disappointed. will not come back.
This is a lovely example of London's well-kept secrets. Looks like a cafe down a side street off Blackfriars Road but serves excellent tapas and has great service. Just short of £70 for a bottle of very good Tempranillo and loads of delicious food for two. Would recommend.
