Meet District - London

I went with a group of friends to celebrate a special occasion (what we told the restaurant). We were placed outside while another big group was inside, and we found the service completely inadequate. We all ordered drinks (including three of the same thing) that the waitress went to one with up to ten or fifteen minutes between. At one point it literally took 35 minutes between ordering and receiving a dietary coke. We got water, but no glasses and finally restored to get things like salt and pepper from ourselves. Most of us enjoyed the food, but two people had (pritty standard) diet requirements and they were delivered only with things from the menu, minus what they could not eat at the normal price. They were both hungry when we were gone. In the end we complained and were offered a 10% discount. When we got the bill, we found that they just deducted the service fee and then total £7.50 were deducted from the actual bill (maybe less than ten percent)! Given that the manager came out and was really apologetic, that actually felt a bit insulting more than anything. I had friends who traveled from outside London for what should be a really nice special opportunity and food here meant that the day went out to a really frustrating start!

The restaurant itself is sweet and I like the deco. The service is great, and they even served our coke from the classic glass bottle, which was sown from a can, and the glass had ice and a lemon so much attention to detail. The slate tables that came in the food also served as a good presentation. The beverage menu was however disappointing cocktails for happy advertised, but there was no menu. The food itself was average, we had burgers and nachos, but they were nothing special. It was average, and I personally wouldn't think for food. I would recommend that you have a drink in a quiet environment.

The restaurant was closed when we arrived and no one contacted me to apologize. I traveled from Liverpool to have a Christmas deal with my parents, and it was ruined, we ended with a take away

Great restaurant, food and service is excellent. They are special with my 3 months old baby, I really felt welcomed, will definitely return.

Lovely brunch great quality food and wonderful staff. Stylish venue too!
