The personal was great! I forgot to order a gluten-free afternoon tea in advance. the team could quickly register. then our guest of honor was delayed by an hour and a hlaf, but the team allowed us to stay (there was space) and our meals kindly delayed. the afternoon was delicious, very fresh sandwiches and the cakes were very delicious. only that was the decoration and the music. the pictures look much better. I also didn't know there was a difference between the restaurant and the bistro. the bistro felt very premier inn . could do with an update. but surely would return!
Beautiful ambiente, not too busy or noisy, so it was perfect for a Saturday birthday dinner for my mother in law with our 8-year old and baby in tow. eating was just okay not amazing. service was friendly but pretty slow.
The restaurant ambience was lovely and staff very friendly and welcoming. Just a bit disorganised as asked for order twice and slow service . Otherwise highly recommend.
We had afternoon tea. Service was not attentive, had to strain to get attention several times. There were three of us but were given a tiny portion of Jan and cream that barely served one(asked for more obviously). Scones were tasteless, brownies dry. The rest was okay. Very stark lighting and music was like radio music, didn't seem appropriate at all. It wasn't dreadful, but I wouldn't go back or recommend to anyone.
