The choice and quality of beer is great and at a quite reasonable price, as this is a theme set in a beautiful part of London. The staff was excellent and the oompah band were absolute professionals. All dance and sing and play. We will definitely book another evening, probably in the new year and definitely involved with more people, as all we have shown our photos is now interested. We will definitely try something from the food next time. Two g'suffe!
Booked a table for 2 in the Oktoberfest Pub in Fulham, on arrival was shown my place, then immediately ignored by the serving staff, then I made my way to the bar and asked if someone would take our order at the table. I've been told, maybe he's finally no, so I had to order food at the bar that was pathetic. In order to supplement injuries, I was then obliged to pay especially for the foods and drinks, which is a strange way to order food in a restaurant, especially one that has an authentic German food experience. The other thing that irritated me was the blowing dance music that was above the level of conversation of the noise, as can be described as German experience, is beyond me. Avoid!
I was looking forward to having a Wiener Schnitzel as I had last time, but they must have changed the recipe and added some sort of marinade. I was very sorry not to have ordered the shaft as my friends did. Overall, the place is beautiful, but the service is very carefree and slow. Despite all this, I will definitely be back for the pig dog, it takes 45 minutes to cook, but it is worth waiting and the selection of beer is also very good.
The Fest Restaurant and Bar is really more of a pub don't go expecting anything restaurant like! There's no table service, and the tables are long with benches, meaning sharing tables is likely if it's busy. However, the food was good and it was a relaxed atmosphere, so if it's a pub lunch you're after, then this is a good option.
Fest was certainly an experience! Yes it was a bit blokey but if you fancy a fun night out and the thought of watching men down pints really fast doesn't put you off then this is a good place. Hearty food, big beers and lots of drunken fun!
