The fish and batter were perfect, with the fish being tasty and flakey, and the batter crispy and free of oil. The chips were traditional fish and chips style, chunky, soft and slightly potato-like, and I enjoyed them all. I personally prefer thinner, crispier fries, so having a choice would have been nice. The service was excellent and the staff were very friendly. While it may not be the cheapest option for fish and chips, you are in the pricey NW3 area.
This restaurant not only offers delicious side dishes, but the food also comes out piping hot. The portions are generous, so it's recommended to share the chips when ordering sides. We have dined in and also had delivery, both experiences were equally delicious. I always prefer the haddock over the cod.
We had the worst experience with the fish and chips at this restaurant. We felt like we were ripped off. We placed an order for pick up and when we got home, we found that the chips were undercooked, soggy, and some even tasted raw. The fish was bland and tasteless, with too much batter - it was like eating cardboard. We had to add salt to make it somewhat palatable. We ended up throwing away all the chips and could only manage to eat some of the fish. To top it off, it was incredibly expensive - we spent £28 for two people! It was a huge disappointment. We suggest avoiding this place at all costs as it seems to have no consistency in the quality of their food, as evidenced by all the 1-star reviews.
Fish was tasteless. Not even adding salt, pepper, and Tabasco helped it. Chips were undercooked and soggy. The coleslaw was good. I got the grilled cod. Maybe other items on their menu are better but based on other reviews seems pretty hit or miss.
Fish was tasteless and felt like it had been cooked well before the order. Could not eat the cod and as for the chips just awful. Cold and equally as unpalatable as the fish Never again
