San Carlo Cicchetti- Covent Garden

A little disappointed. the usual living and funny ambiente was missing. the Italian waiters were gone! penne arrabiata warns very sharp. the rest of the food was good. has this become touristic? enjoyable, but not for a back.

No frying with the steak is a sin. had to ask twice. eat very well. pricey, but where is not today. I had luck on the wee, red from southern Italy. 40 pounds.

The restaurant was very cold, which spoiled the occasion. we had to sit in dumb and skewed. the waiter said that the heating was up, but it could not have been so cold

As usual a smokey atmosphere and excellent eating never disappointed

Our food wasn’t hot my carbonara was not good had been kept warm had a skin on it and the bacon was so hard we didn’t have time to complain as we’re going to a matinee at the theatre the staff were lovely and were under a lot of pressure it was very busy would go again and hopefully things would be better
