Seven Park Place By William Drabble

The food on the fixed menu was outstanding! We will definitely return. We both ordered the beef as our main course and it was excellent!

Set lunch menu is very good value with money, especially with the drinks. Crab bisque to start was very tasty and the cod for main was nice, sauce with the cod was delicious and the mussels were massive and some of the best I have eaten. Desserts were a highlight, the hazelnut tart was loaded with hazelnuts and the poached pear with coconut sorbet was great! Would go again for the set lunch menu!

It is uncommon to come across a restaurant where every single dish is outstanding. The wine pairings were unique and kept things exciting. The pairings were spot on as well. Although I believe the plates could have been warmer and the dishes could have been explained more thoroughly, I cannot fault the flavors.

Had a lovely lunch with my husband, his brother and mum and our 4 month old baby on a Friday afternoon. The service was excellent and they even served my daughter's warmed milk on a silver platter! The food was also wonderful. We had the set menu and all got the cod which was served with the most creamy and luscious pomme puree. The starter (crab bisque) was yummy and I really enjoyed it. Hubby didn't like the addition of apple but I thought it was a nice, unexpected crunch and sweetness. I had the hazelnut tart for dessert. It was good but wouldn't say great. My mother in law gave the pineapple dessert a rave review. Overall a really good experience with excellent food and exceptional service! I'd happily visit again.

I didn't realise until I arrived that this was the old St James club building. It's much changed from how it was, and looks amazing. The food and service was very good, just a shame it was not that busy, but it was lunchtime.
