Very nice. the only negative bit is the price. tacos are £5 per person to have a good amount of food, it would come about £20 per person without touching alcohol or certain beverages, but lead water. I would certainly come for a nice mood and some teller with friends or for a relaxed dinner for two.
As an American living in london, I have heard that good Mexican cuisine is difficult to reach. I'm lucky that taco was a pleasant surprise, and I'm meeting because I'm not coming here earlier. let me first say that although I lived in la and new york, where good food is widely accessible, I never thought of Mexican cuisine as one of my favorite cuisines. that has changed after eating in taco queen, perhaps because I now tend something that is not super available in Britain, or perhaps taco queen was that. good. I came with super high expectations and I was still totally blown away. it was a great mood, they were super cool with the fact that we had a baby with us, service was great and as fast as it would have looked into that the place was packed. we were wise to make a reservation as many people tried to go in and there were no tables available. the margaritas were made fresh, and I dare to say better than what I do at home! that is huge for someone who thinks a lot of their own margarita skills. we also ordered the pork mulitas, baja fish taco, fried chicken taco and short rib taco. everything was absolutely delicious. we really couldn't decide which court we liked best. the only case for me was the price of margarita for what they actually get. but let's go, I'll still order 1 2 margaritas with this fantastic food, no matter how much they are, especially because the margaritas were still like that. ok g2g reserve for taco queen again, so I can try more of this fantastic eating!
Taco queen very good with a delicious food and nice place to dinner
I was really pleasantly surprised by this place! The flavours were great and memorable- we're all veggies so had the aubergine tacos, cauliflower tacos and kimchi mulitas, I'd highly recommend them all. Small touches like homemade tortilla chips, which are bafflingly difficult to find in London mexican places, were really welcome. Staff were very friendly and relaxed (our waitress had black hair and glasses, I wish I'd gotten her name! She made great recommendations when I asked , food came out quickly, good atmosphere, what more could you want! As others have said, it's not the cheapest, but to be honest, it's really not that expensive for London either! We paid £32 a head, but that included chips and guac (decent size portion , 5 tacos and a plate of mulitas and 2 drinks each, as well as service charge. Almost certainly cheaper than *big Mexican chain we shall not name* and super fresh food!! The only flaw for me was the 1hr30 mins limit on tables- I know they have to turn tables but we could have stayed a lot longer, however staff were very accommodating and found us space to sit at the counter while we finished our drinks :
I had the best soft tacos of my life at this restaurant! The generous portions were perfect for sharing and trying different combinations. We ordered nachos, as well as pork, beef, and chicken tacos, all of which were delicious, colorful, and reasonably priced. Despite it being a busy Sunday night, the staff quickly found us a spot. Our server, Santos, was incredibly friendly and accommodating. This place is honestly Peckham's best-kept secret and has quickly become my new favorite!
