I stumbled upon this restaurant on the corner and decided to have dinner here with a friend. It was a great choice. We enjoyed the jazz music playing in the background as we dined in a cozy, rustic atmosphere. We had a nice view of the world outside from our window seat. The cocktails were delicious. I ordered the fried chicken with a side of green beans and mushroom sauce. The portion sizes were generous. I highly recommend this place and will definitely be coming back.
The jazz band was excellent and set a relaxed atmosphere. The steak I had was delicious and I highly recommend this restaurant for a business dinner or casual drink.
This steak house probably has everything a good restaurant can offer. the location is absolutely central and it is very easy to find it on foot from waterloo tube station. I went there with a friend and we were both happy with everything. I ordered knochensteak, which was served on a wooden board, with some decorations and chips on one side. I should admit, that was one of the best steaks I ever had. we spent about £40 with drinks that was quite affordable. the ambiente is amazing, a piano and live band, the atmosphere in the restaurant becomes even more alive. the service is nice, since everyone with orders is very pleasant and fast. in any case recommend!
I'm really surprised that the Archduke has such a low score! When I visited, both my Mother and I had fabulous meals. My burger was one of the best I've ever eaten. The meat was cooked perfectly to my liking, and the chips were skinny and soft. I hold this burger as the golden standard, against which to measure all other burgers! Also I really liked the atmosphere inside, there was a guy playing the piano as you walked in and the whole bar just seemed to have a good vibe about it. Fabulous location if you're visiting the South Bank Centre.
