Located not far from the train station, this restaurant is less crowded than other Greene King pubs in the area. The food is delicious and they also offer a good selection of bar snacks. The variety of beers is impressive. However, the restaurant is on the smaller side, so with the windows open, you may be exposed to secondhand smoke.
I arrived at this restaurant at 11:25pm with a closing time of midnight, but was refused a drink even though the table next to us had just been served fresh drinks. This pub is unpleasant and seems to show favoritism. I recommend avoiding this place at all costs.
Great pub and bar good with restaurant upstairs. Great food and service.
This pub was always known as the hour glass for decades god only knows why they have changed the name some people just can't leave things as they were.
