My favorite dish was the loaded chips, topped with nacho-style toppings. The pub is spacious and well-lit, which I appreciated. Surprisingly, the drink prices were standard for pubs, despite the picturesque riverfront location. The food prices were reasonable, with the loaded chips costing less than £6. I was impressed that they accepted table reservations, and I was pleasantly surprised to find our table decorated with a printed name card, rather than a handwritten sign like other pubs. Overall, I had a great experience and will definitely be returning to this pub in the future. It has quickly become my favorite spot in the area.
Stopped by for a quick visit and was served by Steve. The service was polite and the beer selection was decent. The prices were reasonable for the location. The restaurant was empty when we arrived but started to fill up with city workers as we were leaving.
Enjoyed the fish and chips and steak and ale pie! Bit noisy for my taste, but the food was really nice!
We loved this amazing hidden pub. You’d never find it if you didn’t know it was there. We shared some wine and loaded chips and had no complaints. I bet in the summer this place is buzzing.
It’s not one of the pubs you’d find on your walk but the bar staff here a one to none. I’d recommend Sophie she is perfect. Will recognise exactly when it’s time for the next drink. Would recommend to anyone.
