The vibe when they ask people where they live, they usually don't give them any opposite. they give them the nearest public transport means. who knows where fitzrovia or belgravia are? tottenham court road and victoria? understood. that's just as good for clapham because clapham has two subway stations and three subways. clapham junction is so large and connected that even people who live north of the river use it to get to victoria or waterloo faster. the school house is in battersea. next station: clapham junction. like to happen. but it is on this large small stretch that falls between RuggerBugger-land and nappy valley. no fun and no child car. it is on a street of bars and restaurants (st. john’s hill) for south londoner with taste and without descending. for these demographic purposes the school house is perfect. it is for people who are from school, only long enough to induce the journey down the memory track, but not so long to induce an expected mother in a panic over the 11. the order cool menu. sticks with the thema. the starters are listed under “Registration”, the sharer under “Teacher Conference” and the main subjects are divided into the old school and new school. the glasses are “stemless” and many of the dishes are served on colorful plastic panels with special compartments. there is a fantastic selection of beer, even if it is a date, I suggest to try a beer each first before they dive into the pinot noir. This place is great. the guy who really loves it (I think) what he does. he loves to talk to customers and has fun to experiment with eating. the laphroaig mayo and haggis balls are a good example. when he was out of hazelnut, he suggested vanilla and hazelnut liqueur: it was amazing! highly recommended.

Delicious eating with new things to try! we ordered the pokchop and the steak and everything was absolutely burst! many vegan/veggie options also. I had the sweet caramel gnocchi dessert and it was so scurril! service was great and overall a great chill restaurant to go back. we are coming back in definitiw!

Always nice to come here! great food (have the spicy chicken-fucking and the French toast with nutella: the personal is super friendly and nice. beautiful customers and they have some great books to read when their friends run late (I read about napoleon highly recommended!
