Great local spot with good buzz and lovely setting. You do expect better food quality for an average £100+ dinner for two though. Starters were fine but my main course chicken caesar was overcooked and cold. Definitely could have made better food at home...which is always disappointing! We also had to ask for our drinks twice, which eventually came out after the food had been served. Even though I'm a local, I'd hesitate to go to The Waterway again.

Lovely front of house staff and we had a great time but just a couple of blips with the table staff. Food was very good overall but an overdressed Caesar salad was a disappointment. Chicken wings were exceptional though!
