Small, intimate restaurant, with a simple but excellent choice of Japanese food, and in particular their range of bento boxes, which were good value for money.
A small and cozy Japanese restaurant smacked right into the hustle and bustle of Angel. I've lived and worked in Japan for years and I am impressed by how authentic and how good the food tastes here. The service is very friendly and accommodating. Tenshi is easily one of my favourite Japanese restaurants in London. Try the Takoyaki to start and if you like eel, go for the unagidon (see photo). Both are excellent choices. The yakisoba is just average.
Wonderful traditional atmosphere. The warm sake was delicious, and the chicken katsu curry nicely cooked. The waitresses were chatting a lot with each other, and they forgot to take our order for a long while, as well as give us the check at the end of the meal. Nevertheless, it was a fantastic Japanese experience.
What a wonderful find in the neighborhood! This authentic Japanese restaurant has a fantastic atmosphere, lovely service, and absolutely delicious food. The lunch specials are outstanding; I had the unagi, and every element was perfect. The tempura was out of this world! I can’t wait to return and try the okonomiyaki!
