My friends and I, two families who hadn't seen each other in a while, were in search of a restaurant near The Oval that catered to vegetarians. Zeret Kitchen went above and beyond our expectations. From the moment we made our reservation, the host took the time to explain the menu and how they could accommodate our dietary preferences. The meal itself was incredibly delicious, reminiscent of a homemade feast prepared with love and care (assuming your grandmother was Ethiopian!). I found myself indulging way more than necessary. We opted for the vegetarian combo for the entire group, followed by a delightful coffee ceremony. The service was exceptional, with three friendly ladies running the restaurant who were attentive to our needs, patient in helping us choose from the menu, and never rushed us out even after we had finished our meal. This was especially appreciated as we were catching up with old friends we hadn't seen in years. Their genuine smiles and hospitality made the experience all the more enjoyable. Zeret Kitchen is an authentic gem that exceeds the typical high-end dining experience in terms of customer service. The restaurant is clean, with adequate spacing between tables and the option for outdoor seating. It may not be fancy, but it has everything it needs to provide a truly delightful dining experience. I highly recommend this hidden gem without any hesitation.

The food at this restaurant is always delicious, with hearty dishes served on tangy injera. The portions are generous and provide great value for the price. The friendly women who manage the restaurant contribute to the inviting atmosphere. It's an ideal place for a casual dinner with friends.

Hidden in a location you wouldn't expect, this restaurant is worth the trip. We tried their special dish which gave us a taste of the diverse menu, but all the other options looked just as delicious. The beer selection was good and the prices were very reasonable considering the high quality and flavorful dishes. If you're craving Ethiopian food in London, this is the place to go. It was busy even at 3pm on a Saturday, which is a good sign of its popularity and quality.
