Bourbon Street - Cajun & Creole Kitchen

We had dinner here recently with friends. This was my first visit, but a friend had been here previously and had recommended it as a place to try. We were not disappointed! Our friends started out with an artichoke dip of some sort that we all found delicious. Unfortunately, when I checked the menu just now, it does not appear. My husband does not like his food too spicy, but everything we ordered was perfect and very tasty. I can't wait to go back!

I love this place, The food is good and if you go on a Monday or Tuesday it is very quiet and you can have a nice romantic date while getting good service.

We finally had a chance to try Bourbon St. after it opened almost a year ago. By coincidence, it was during the Londonlicious event, and their tasting menu offered an excellent variety of items from their main menu. 4 of us enjoyed our meals very much. i know i'll be back. we hoped to sit outside but had too much sun & not enough shade. no problem, the décor & atmosphere inside was very good.

This was our first visit to the Bourbon Street Kitchen in London Ontario. Having been to New Orleans several times, we were hoping for authentic Cajun cuisine. The popcorn shrimp and Cajun shrimp Po' Boys were the real deal - juicy seafood with tasty dressing on a fresh crusty bun. As a luncheon special, they came with soup or salad for only $11.50, excellent value for the money. We would not recommend the cappuccino coffee, which tasted artificial, or the fried oyster appetizer which was over cooked to the point of being dry.

This place is very easily missed, but it's well worth a visit. I went past it a hundred times and didn't even notice it. Not any more! The food that I've had has always been delicious, and I've tried several different dishes. The staff is very friendly as well. The prices are getting up there, but not through the roof. One or two Saturday evenings each month they have live music from 7:00 - 10:00 (closing time). I know because I play in a band that has been there. I recommend Bourbon Street, not because I entertain there from time to time, but because it's a really good restaurant!
