Masonville Keg - London

We were here on a Saturday night to celebrate my wife's birthday. Our server, Will, was attentive and helpful (though he did have to be reminded it was my wife's birthday). My wife's prime rib was perfect. She was told the horse radish was hot and they were not fooling. My filet was great as well. Another great way to use a gift card.

This was our first visit to this newly-relocated Keg. It was formerly at a location that required paid parking which created an inconvenience for many patrons. Fortunately since it is at a mall, there is no parking fee - though the cost is embedded in the menu prices of course !I had the teriyaki classic combo which I order medium. My wife chose the filet mignon. She was very happy with the meal and would recommend it to anyone. My steak, though slightly over-cooked, was very delicious once you got past the tough ends of the cut. My double-baked potatoe was done properly and tasted great. The one weak spot was the bland ceaser salad. Not only did it have one crouton in it, there was no bacon added. I think management should hop in the car and visit the Blue Duby just down the road on Fanshawe west. The ceaser I had there last night was vastly superior and came with an excellent piece of bread. The Keg should begin to offer freshly ground Parmesan at the table considering the $9.00 salad being offered.I gave the value rating of 3 mostly because of the outrageous wine prices and the second-class salad. Remember, the free parking has to be paid for somehow! Service was efficient, though the friendliness quotient was a bit over the top.We would return to this much better location.

Disclaimer: I am super picky with my steakI was invited to the Keg Masonville for my birthday dinner and was hesitant because I can be a picky steak critic. Our server was polite and greeted us in a timely manner. We started off with season cocktails which were refreshing and well mixed. Our seafood appetizers (and whole meal really) came out in a timely manner. Our wine was brought to the table during appetizers so it would have time to breathe (I was grateful that our waitress did this). My medium well sirloin steak was cooked PERFECTLY! Hint of pink, not dry - I was VERY pleased. At the end of our meal I was surprised with a lovely piece of cake and candle (but not embarrassed by being put on the spot). This new Keg location is a great atmosphere and exceeded my expectations.

Thank you SO much to our bartender/waitress Victoria who went above & beyond in making sure we had a great experience as this was my first time ever at any Keg. The outdoor patio is great & we will absolutely be back. The food was so delicious and as mentioned above superb service just made it that much better :)

We were a party of four adults celebrating a birthday. The bacon-wrapped scallops were tasty but the bacon was not fully cooked. One guest had the tuna tartare and raved about it. Another guest had mushrooms Neptune and enjoyed them. All entres were great. The Birthday Boy received a lovely chocolate mousse cake. The service was exemplary! This has not always been the case at other Keg locations in London.
