I'm giving this place a low review for one primary reason: the customer service. The girl working in the morning had absolutely dreadful customer service. I smiled and said good morning, and she responded with an annoyed expression, asking if I was just picking up. Her apparent misery at having to do her job was off-putting as a customer. I was eager to try the bowl, but her rude attitude completely spoiled the experience for me. To be clear, I did enjoy the food, and I usually avoid leaving negative reviews, but I was taken aback by how unfriendly the staff was. Having worked in the service industry for years, I understand how tough it can be, but this girl seemed far too young to be so bitter. I went home and shared my experience with my friends, and they all agreed—Sobowl has a reputation for having very unfriendly staff. To the owner, please pay attention to the people you have working for you, as it's costing you customers.

The staff was rude and lacked basic customer service skills. They didn't provide me with the correct change and tried to charge me for items that were part of the student discount. There's definitely a need for better manners.
