Suzuki Shokudo - Long Island City

This restaurant is cozy and features a few tables with a minimalist decor adorned with some Japanese posters. On my first visit, we were part of a large group and sat at a table. During my last visit, there were only three of us, and we opted for the counter seats. We chose the omakase sushi, which consisted of ten pieces, along with seaweed salad, fried chicken, fried fish, and agedashi tofu. Everything was absolutely delicious! While the portions are small, we were all pleasantly full by the end of our meal. If you have the chance to sit at the counter, I highly recommend it; the chef was fantastic and truly enhanced our dining experience. Given the high quality of both the food and the service, the prices here are quite reasonable.

We stumbled upon this cozy little Japanese restaurant and were delighted by our experience. The sashimi was extremely fresh, and the lunch box was absolutely delicious. I will definitely return to try their omakase! Overall, I would rate the food 5 out of 5.

Fantastic value for excellent sushi! The fish was incredibly fresh, and I can't wait to return to try the ramen. I sat at the sushi bar, which meant I couldn't order the ramen unless I was seated at a table. Since I was alone, I didn't want to take up a whole table, so I opted for the sushi combo instead. Food: 5/5.

I was Brought here by my Japanese good friends. I always trust them for the best food locations. And never the less Suzuki Shokudo is 5/5 stars. Very fresh and authentic sushi. Melts in your mouth.And very nice location. Feels very welcoming and home like feel.Sitting at the counter bar is always my favorite and feels more authentic. Love this place. Will be back soon.
