Last time, they just... forgot about us! We were seating at a table staff was going around us to take orders from other tables, and never stop to see us. My wife had to stop a waitress to ask when someone was going to take our order. 60 minutes had gone by at this point. The good: Food is good though, which saves this review. Staff felt really bad about making us wait. Got complementary nachos for the waiting. Friendly waitresses. Crayons to draw on tablecloths is nice (ours was full after the wait). The bad: All that time lost on both visits. Going to the bathroom is an adventure as you have to go through the service area. Limited colours of crayons. Very sad that both time that we went, we lost so much time. Their sign in front says “Sorry, we are open.” Now l know why.
Went for lunch, not much to look at from the outside but decent ambiance and pub decor. Food was good but not fantastic.
Improved tasty foods, very very friendly staff, the bar at Jack's Astor is a nice place to go for a 5@7. Prices are good too, ambiance as well. Will go back again for sure.
I have visited this restaurant numerous times and I love the atmosphere and decor. The service is excellent and the garlic pan bread is absolutely delicious. The Texas roadkill cajun chicken burger is amazing. They offer a variety of options on the menu including fajitas, salads, curry bowls, poutine, burgers, chicken fingers, and even vegetarian/vegan options. It's a perfect spot to celebrate a birthday. Plus, you can have fun drawing on the table with crayons while you wait for your food.
Jack Astor's is a great place to catch up with friends and watch your favorite sporting event. The food is delish and the wait staff very friendly.
