Restaurant Chez Nick - Longueuil

Ate here a few times but never felt it was a good deal. This place has been in business for 100 years and they seem content to rest on their laurels....but I wouldn`t eat here again. High prices for mediocre food is nothing I need to settle for in a city like Montreal that has so many great restaurants.

Well, this certainly wouldn’t rate as one of Montreal’s best restaurants, but it seems to be a local institution, and it was just fine for a quick lunch earlier this week. Very busy, people of all ages. Like a diner from fifty years ago....which is perhaps what we were supposed to think of. The smoked salmon with brie on a bagel was excellent, as was the grilled cheese and tomato sandwich. Coffee was okay too.....

The food and service at this restaurant are excellent. The coffee is fantastic as well. The restaurant is clean and very family-friendly. All of the servers speak both languages.

Eggs cold!! Booths too tight for comfort. Lots of coffee refills, a good thing. Hot sauce available and good. A pleasant neighbourhood place. Always people you know. Disappointing this time. Could not manage a busy kitchen!

More like a homey coffee shop; we had lunch there; many choices including breakfast , also vegetarian dishes available; doggy bags are allowed
