Went last Friday for a birthday dinner. The gumbo we got for an appetizer was delicious. The caesar salads were great, along with the Catfish Acadiana and Crawfish Rice Pilaf. But the $33 Classic Filet was terrible. I try not to complain about food or service much as I was a server in college, but when they served me the steak I honestly thought it was someone else's well done sirloin. It was thin and overly well done (I ordered medium). I contemplated saying anything, but decided they must have mixed up the steaks. The waiter was polite and apologetic, and took the steak back to ask the kitchen. He returned quickly and said the kitchen confirmed it was my classic filet. I dropped the subject and ate the steak since it was $33.
Good service and good food. we had the thorn leaves, delicious appetizer, and the spicy chicken sandwich, very good. the killed by chocolate cheesecake was wonderful, so a huge part too. my man and I have shared all this and left it clogged!
Wesley Wynne -Executive Chef, Sarah, and the Copeland’s staff made our entire experience a treat! Had out of town guests visiting so Wesley brought out several items he had prepared to share with us. Outstanding hospitality. Love having brunch here.
Stopped by for desserts, the restaurant has the New Orleans ambiance but upscale. Both our delectables were very tasty and worth every cent. I recommend the white chocolate bread pudding!
