Deb's Downtown Cafe - Longview

It has been quite some time since I last visited Deb's Downtown Cafe. I was the artist who created the mural on the interior walls back in 2000 when it was still called the New Moon Cafe. The atmosphere at that time was fantastic, and the food was even better. I hope to return soon to check on the mural and see if it needs any touch-ups. Living in Longview was a wonderful experience, and I made some amazing friends during that period—those days are fondly remembered. Now, I live on the coast south of Houston, where I continue to paint murals and teach at Brazosport College in my hometown. I'm excited to enjoy a meal at Deb's with my son and grandson!

Outstanding service and an amazing atmosphere! The staff here are the kindest you'll ever encounter. The menu offers a variety of light, healthy options all made from scratch. Don't miss the chance to greet Deb and her team. It's a perfect place to gather with friends and enjoy delicious food. You absolutely have to try the Nutty Bird Sandwich—it's a standout dish! Highly recommend!

What an incredible cheeseburger! If you love traditional grilled cheeseburgers, this is the place for you. The buns are toasted to perfection, the vegetables are fresh and crunchy, and the meat is served piping hot. For me, it’s a truly delightful experience. The service is outstanding, and the atmosphere is wonderful.

The service was extremely disappointing; our server was rude and didn’t even take the time to check on us. The food was bland, and it was evident that the staff doesn't understand what a panini is. I would strongly recommend avoiding this restaurant.
