Hick Frog Bistro - Longview

Delicious food. the chef is amazing, the portions are very generous, and the taste is incredible. the personal went out of the way to host our big group that remains too late, only for us. it was so special. they will obviously go out of their way to make their experience pleasant. they will not regret to visit hick and frog!

Super service and great chow. the cream brulee was delicious, and my family also enjoyed their various desserts. I have an salad with candied walnuts and cranberries that was just delicious! I'm sorry it closes

Visited here to check out the concept that was in the Longview News Journal about this bistro concept which is as follows: 2 owners, husband from Texas (the hick wife (the French frog American comfort food with some traditional french food in a bistro environment (natural lighting . Fun cute concept. Experience was underwhelming when we visited today actually resulted in us leaving without ordering. Went in cashier greeted us in a friendly way asked what we 'd like. First time so we weren 't sure where the menu was glanced to our side to see it written on a board to the left. After reading it we saw that there wasn 't any comfort American food being offered for the day asked if this was all that was available or just the specials were told that every 10 days that the menu changes it 's hard to tell what will be offered day to day. I understand that this is a concept, but if the menu is changing from day to day without notice every 10 days(? it 's hard to recommend something that may be striking in the menu if it isn 't always available. The clientele were dead silent (no music was playing inside as we walked in appeared to be regulars and wouldn 't stop staring the entire time we were in there as we left. I don 't usually mention clientele in reviews but it made the experience that much more uncomfortable some light music would have at least alleviated the tourist syndrome. We 'll try again another time when we 're in town at least a few of the menu items are available without having to call ahead.

The food here is absolutely fantastic. The chef is talented, the portions are quite generous, and the flavors are exceptional. The staff went above and beyond to accommodate our large group, allowing us to stay longer than usual, which made the experience even more special. It's clear that they are dedicated to ensuring you have a great time. You won’t regret choosing to visit Hick and Frog!
