He took time, he answered everything we asked as this was our first time there. He even took it upon himself to replace a strawberry daiquiri that wasn 't sweet enough that he could just tell from my expression, I didn 't ask for it to be replaced. The food was delicious! We both had the Fajitas Something , lol. It was shrimp chicken, and steak, along with amazing grilled peppers and onions etc... It was $20 but we took home more than we could eat! The refried beans with cheese was exceptional. My friend had a side of guacamole which she was very happy with. The margaritas during happy hour were beautifully presented, delicious, and packed a wallop! I thought La Hacienda was good, but this leaves it in the dust!
We hadn't been here for over 10 years and boy did it go downhill. We had to wait forever for someone to check to see if someone was waiting to be seated. Our waiter kept saying he was new with every question I asked him. The queso was like water and tasted like it too. Nobody liked their meals. We're not even finished eating and the waiter brings the bills. I'm like what if I wanted dessert? I did, but refused to order since he was trying to get rid of us. We won't be going back again!
I would give fewer stars if I could. We came in on Mother's Day with my husband and our young son, and were quickly seated, but then left to get our own high chair for our 2-year-old. We watched multiple tables around us get served, cleared, and attended to, while we didn't receive even a greeting or an offer for water. We have no plans to return or recommend this place. Both my husband and I work in the food service industry and tried to be patient, understanding the current challenges. However, we waited over 30 minutes and no one even acknowledged us when we left. Although there were other customers, it didn’t seem overly busy, making the whole experience even more disappointing.
The restaurant takes Covid-19 precautions seriously, providing hand sanitizer at the entrance, and all the staff wear their masks properly. I do wish there were dividers between the booths for more privacy. Overall, the place is clean and well-maintained. Our food arrived quickly after we ordered, which was a plus. However, I prefer my fajita meat to be sliced rather than chopped into small pieces, as if it had been cut up just for me. Unfortunately, the beef was quite tough, even though it was almost shredded, which was disappointing. Additionally, I felt neglected by the staff after our meal was over, as it seemed like they had left us waiting for quite some time.
This restaurant has a strong Tex-Mex flavor. Most menu items come topped with thick, yellow shredded cheese. If you order dishes labeled "a la Mexicana," you might get a more authentic meal. The highlight of our experience was definitely the draft beer and chips, and our waiter was incredibly friendly, providing excellent service—5 out of 5!
