La Fonda Mexican Kitchen - Longwood

I placed my first order through Uber Eats, and it was a disappointing experience. There were numerous issues, from menu items that looked nothing like the pictures to flavors that missed the mark. I have to wonder, owner, if you're actually Mexican... do you even eat the food from your own kitchen? If you do, it seems like you’re not catering to Longwood. As a Mexican myself, I can’t even describe what I received, but I can confidently say it wasn't authentic Mexican food. It seems like you've managed to cater only to non-Mexicans.

That's about it. The food is just okay at best. The meat tasted dry, old, salty, and definitely overpriced. On the positive side, the staff and management were fantastic. However, the owners seem indifferent to their customers. I placed an order online, and my card was charged. When I arrived, they informed me that the price had changed and refused to fulfill my order unless I paid an extra $2. I've never experienced anything like that before. Given how they treat their customers, I wouldn't be surprised if they close down soon.

While I was sitting in front of the restaurant, another woman came in to pick up her order without any issue. It was frustrating that the staff didn’t even ask me what I had ordered; it could have been drinks or something simple. I have no intention of returning. They refused to prepare my food at 8:44 PM because they likely didn't want to serve me past closing time. This is completely unacceptable. In my experience managing restaurants, I always ensured we remained open until closing time, cleaning up only after the last customer had left. This experience was just not right.

The food was delicious will go back to try more dishes I will recommend this restaurant to everyone

This was some of the best food I?ve had in awhile it was DELICIOUS the best thing we had all night was definitely the fried ice cream definitely a recommendation and the serving lady was extremely nice very good service definitely deserves a full five stars
