We visited Gourmet d'Asie with some friends. The restaurant is based in a fairly non-descript commercial facility on a retail park, and this is probably its main disadvantage, the interior decor is fairly sparse and as such noise from other guests just rattles around in the space. Upon arrival a waitress did a fairly hard sell on a selection of cocktails, but we were not convinced and were happy to find that there is a range of cold soft drinks and tea coffee included as part of the buffet. The buffet itself has a good range of food and most of it is above average quality, as always with these things there are a few items that disappoint or have been left stewing under the heat lamps for a little too long, but generally it was good. The buffet included some comfort food options like Pizza to appeal to those who might struggle with the oriental food. There was the possibility to order some selections directly from the kitchens, and there was a good selection of ice cream and other desserts. For €18 you really can't go wrong, provided that you understand that it's more canteen than haute cuisine. Arrive hungry!
