Campanile Dunkerque Sud-loon Plage

Very dated rooms, beds are sufficient for an overnight stay. No lift. Quiet location convenient for the channel tunnel but a little far away from most attractions. Check in was fine, very friendly staff member checked us in quickly, but checking out the staff member stood by the bar chatting and looking at me while I was waiting to check out. Stood for 5-6 mins before she came over. But we weren't in a major rush, just felt a little unprofessional.

Great hotel located near the port of Dunkirk main shopping area is about 10 mins drive away (Auchan or Carrefour) and a good place to stay just before or after entering France via the ferry. Breakfast options are a bit limited and there isn't much for kids to keep entertained but a decent enough hotel to serve as an overnight stopover. Room was clean and spacious with comfy bedding and blackout blinds. On the night I stayed here it was very quiet and the staff were quite friendly and keen to help.

Room 12. The air con would only warm the room nomattter what you set it. The carpet was borderline disgusting. The bed was comfortable and it was nice to be able to walk out into the grass area and see the goats. It was Saturday evening when they only had parts of the menu available leaving not much choice at all. Breakfast was not bad. Price was acceptable.
