We chose the Spanish route: an aubergine fritter starter (implausibly big helping); a calamares dish and a presa de Duroc cut of pork, which is roughly the rib eye steak of a pig. Three of them on a plate! With two glasses of wine each and a shared pudding (some sort of tart, not distinguished) it came to 48 euros. Cheerful service from a young caballero. We would go back happily.
We came across this place in a back street and were attracted by the interesting-sounding and reasonably-priced menu of the day. There was no-one around except a guy cleaning windows so we asked if it was open. He indicated that it was and beckoned us to follow him. As we followed past the kitchen and toilets we realised we had been at the back and the restaurant had a much larger frontage on a busier street. We also realised that the guy was not the proprietor, as we had thought, but the window-cleaner. We were so glad that we had stopped and asked as we ended up with excellent meals for a really good price.
¡Vamos a repetir!
Recomendable.
