Riverbank Cafe - LORNE

Usually go to swing bridge for breakfast but they were closed on Mother's Day!! Discovered Riverside cafe - great coffee - great food - veggie choices - friendly staff - cosy cafe - will definitely be back

Stopped in for lunch, got 2 bland, overpriced and small salads. Nothing special at all. Probably wouldn't go back, cannot comment on coffee. Staff were pleasant though.

Good for morning tea stop. Coffee with an array of scones with jam or quince. Nothing fancy but nice. Good service and pet friendly.

This is a good little spot to sit outdoors a little bit away from the crowds at Lorne. The staff are delightful, though can get a little bit muddled delivery orders to tables- maybe they need to introduce table numbers?That said, the toasties, both the Mr Frog- mushroom mainly and the ham, cheese and relish are excellent- on great bread and filling.The sausage rolls are homemade and I'm told delicious- well, my partner went back the next day for another one.They make a good coffee.I had a date scone one day, and it was heavy with fruit and very little scone- it was excellent actually and probably suit anyone wanting a good fruity boostSo for me- high marks all around for a lunch

Well worth a visit- went twice over the recent long weekend. Brilliant gluten free bread, perfect poached eggs and crispy bacon. What more could you want?There was a wide selection of cakes available (with at least one GF) and the coffee was excellent. I shall be back.
