Contribuisci feedbackIncluded with our stay was a buffet breakfast, the food was fine, not the variety of a large hotel but plenty there. No Asian Breakfast staples, the scrambled eggs are the packet stuff, you can order freshly cooked eggs although that wasn't pointed out to us.It is a room that has no noise cancelling and is VERY loud.
The wait for the meal was way too long and what made matters worse, no one cared! We had completed our entree and still no sign of the bottle of wine we had ordered on arrival. Uncoordinated and lack of care or attention. We wont...More
This is the hotel restaurant so caters for its guests and others all day. The breakfast buffet is an excellent scoff fest with a full range of the usual fried goodies, bacon, sausage eggs tomatoes etc. It also offers fresh fruits and cereals, juices and pastries (if you move fast enough to grab them) and being a buffet you can just keep eating and eating till you pop. At $28 it's not a cheap option but then you probably won't need lunch. If guests are sensible they can book their room to include a free breakfast. Well worth the extra. The food is good quality and I suspect even vegans could enjoy themselves. The downside is it can be very busy and parts of the restaurant can get very very loud. In the evening the same area is transformed into a nice upmarket feel restaurant. The menu is a bit limited, Italian is the theme and you'll need to bring a fat wallet. The ambience is very relaxing though with a lovely fireplace lit in winter and relaxed lighting. Service is professional and the food is good quality. The bonus for me is they now sell craft beers along with some very nice wines. If you fancy an Italian meal then is a good option although my preference is Nino's which is across the road. Worth a try though.
We had a dinner at this place as well as 2 breakfasts as part of our stay at the Mantra. The place is nice and the service is great. The dinner was good with happy hours drinks to start with and good Risotto and Pasta dishes. The breakfast was typical buffet style and you could ask for fried or poached eggs. The barista coffee was good but what was missing are some vegies and better quality fruits.
My wife and I had breakfast at the Larder twice while staying at Mantra. Tasty variety of breakfast food.
