At first my husband ordered the chicken liver dinner – the liver was cold, the vegies were cold and the rye bread served with dinner was stale. My French scuba sandwich with cheese and carmelised onions was ice cold, the Au Jus was cold, and the cheese was not even melted. My son had such a dry, but it was warm! The waitress came by and checked after 20 minutes, which was too late to order dinner again because we had to get an appointment. We will never cross her door again..........
Please stay away from this Burnt-Out restaurant. My family had gone to this facility as the 70s and last weekend Fiasco was one of the countless disappointments we had with this restaurant, so we decided that we would never go back to Katella Deli. To make the long story short, we have found that from owners/management and to employees, “burn-out” and “Don’t Care Attitude” are so obvious. From poor food quality to the hard setting of waiting staff, it is so obvious that this restaurant should simply give it up and close the door. We celebrated a birthday and a wedding anniversary, just to be mistreated and given bad quality food. We usually give more than 15% tips, but we do not feel that the “waiting staff” deserves the 10% we have left them. When managing Katella Deli, please do a favor to the public by following and closing your burnt-out settings. If you really want to stay in business, please get a Professional Culinary and Guest Hospitality Training.
We ordered a sandwich buffet from Katella Deli for a corporate meeting. We have a wide spread of lean cornberry, pastrami, turkey, salami and rare frying beef. Beautiful bread, good pimples/relish tray, potato salad and Cole Slav. Many remains. The tablet of cookies was great for the afternoon. They delivered (per mile delivery fee). Excellent alternative to usual prefabricated sandwiches at company meetings.
I had the finest appetite for bagel, cream cheese and ox this morning. Stop! I don't expect...LOL! At any rate, I called a friend who lived in the area and asked where I could perhaps bring up my desire and she suggested Katella Deli. I had this delicious dish before, but never from here. Let's just say I'll try my best to get it forward from Katella Deli. The smoked salmon was perfect and the cream cheese was fresh and easy. Sometimes, if you get this combination, the salmon can often taste “fishery” or the cream cheese will overtake the taste of the salmon. That wasn't the case. Thank you. Katella Deli!
