So away I sent my husband to 1810, and he bought home their Parrillada Mixta with a side of regular fries and sweet potato fries. I ate mainly their skirt steak and short rib. They were both flavorful, tender, and juicy. My husband loved loved loved their sweet bread but I wasn't a big fan of the gritty texture. Their chicken was moist and well seasoned. But could use a little condiment to bring out more flavor. Wished they had other sauces to pair the meats other than their chimichurri. Their fries were crispy and well packaged. They also gave lots of house bread but we already had way too much to eat! It's a little pricy for casual meal but worth the splurge as a treat.
Came here to dine in during lunch. Only patio seating is open and its first come first serve they do not take reservations. Their patio seating is pretty limited. They can seat about 6 parties but to be honest they should probably remove a couple of tables because it was definitely not 6 feet apart. I could've easily touched the table next to us.... Our waitress was kind of rude. She didn't really understand what we were trying to order. We got the Parrillada Mixta with a side of Fries and Green Salad, Salmon Salad and Pasta. We only ordered the Green Salad as a side because she told us the Grilled Vegetables was extra as a side so she suggested for us to stick with the Green Salad and order a separate salad (Salmon Salad). When the food came, we got served the Grilled Veggies and of course we were charged too. So she suckered us into ordering a Salmon Salad and in addition brought us the Grilled Veggies and charged us even though she told us not to do that. Thank you.
Made a reservation for my group of 3. We were seated promptly in nice, cozy patio seating. The service was very friendly and the food very good. All steaks were cooked perfectly and the sides were a fine compliment. One negative: two of the extra sides we ordered never arrived, but we were never charged for it so it's all good. Main meal filled us up enough
They do have outdoor seating in front of the restaurant with umbrellas. We joined for lunch to try their DineLA menu. We had reservations were seated quickly. For our lunch, we ordered: the burrata salad empanada to start. Both were ok, though portions seemed quite small. For lunch we both ordered the steak fries, it also came with a side of white beans. We both thought that the quality of the meat seemed low, it was quite chewy and neither of us were able to finish it. For dessert we got the rice pudding panna cota. They were both served in plastic disposable cups, just a bit odd. The experience was ok, the food was mediocre.
So sad to see 1810 shut this location down. Another tragedy of the pandemic. If was one of my favorite places as the food was always spot on and the owner and staff (especially the very nice and beautiful waitress) were always so hospitable and friendly. I see on their Website they are looking for another site in Pasadena. I can't wait for their new location or concept and wish them the best. Thank you for all the wonderful food and service to the community! I hope that the owner, his family and the staff are safe and well. I Look forward to your next adventure!
