I 've heard good things about this place via word of mouth so I figured I 'd try it even if the photos looked rough. I also heard it was pretty cheap so I figured I 'd try it and it wouldn 't be too much of a waste of money regardless. I was so wrong. First of all, I ordered a hickory burger and a slice of pie and it was over $20. The hickory burger supposedly had some special seasoning on it, but the burger was anything but flavorful. They make their own special sauce that I 've heard has apples in it but it tasted like some weird ketchup with a strange consistency. Half of the lettuce fell out of my burger before I even got to it and there was still too much lettuce in there. It was a truly bland, bleh burger and, although I am not one to waste food, I could only get through half of it before deciding it wasn 't worth the calories. I tried a couple of their fries and they could not have been more dry and flavorless. All the salt in the world couldn 't give those fries any flavor. I was hoping the pie would give this place the comeback I wanted it to have but I was, again, very disappointed. I know pecan pie is difficult to make and, although I 've never personally baked one, I am confident I could make a better pecan pie than this place did. The pecans were dry and lacking any glaze on top and the bottom part had literal congealed chunks of what tasted like misplaced flan. The crust was subpar, yet the best part of this pie. Truly not worth whatever you 've heard about this place save yourself the time and money and go to in n out for a better experience.
Had an absolutely great lunch (steak burger w/ch, fries orange crush soda. Brought home a pc of boysenberry crm pie, Yum! If you're in the area, be sure to stop by and at least have a slice of pie! Very efficient quick service.
Love this little place. Sit on the stool at the counter. Service is excellent and food abundant. Had a tuna salad sandwich and shared French fries with my friend. Took home 1/2 sandwich and had it for dinner. Sadly, we did not have room for pie. Next time we'll just have pie! Delish!
Food is well known to be good, even better. However, my daughter told me that they had a great tuna melt. So I went to try it. The service counter person told me, and showed me their menu…no tuna melt. She added that they have not had tuna in a long time. I see on the online menu they list a tuna sandwich. Not a tuna melt, but still a tuna sandwich. So the online menu is wrong, their store menu is wrong, or, the clerk is wrong. A failure for all involved, including my daughter! My rating is based on past experience with their hamburger, which was very good. The lady was nice, the location was clean, parking not so great…but that’s not their fault.
Upon the hallowed tables of the Apple Pan, where whispers of culinary legend intertwine, one finds a symphony of flavors that rivals the very essence of culinary excellence. Behold, the apple pie, a jewel of confectionary mastery, where golden crust and ambrosial fruit unite in a delicious harmony that enchants the senses. But lo, do not be beguiled by the siren song of the pie alone, for there exists a feast fit for kings and commoners alike. Let thy gaze alight upon the hickory burger, a titan of taste forged in the fires of culinary excellence. With each bite, one is transported to the forests of antiquity, where the smoky embrace of hickory wood and the succulence of beef intertwine in a delightful ballet of flavor. And what of the steak burger, you ask? Ah, but here lies a tale of tender indulgence, where the noblest of meats is crowned with the jewels of condiments and ensconced within the embrace of a soft bun. With every savory bite, one embarks upon a journey of epicurean delight, where the boundaries of pleasure are pushed ever further. But let us not forget the humble fries, for in their simplicity lies a quiet majesty that cannot be ignored. Crisp, golden strands of potato perfection, kissed by the gentle caress of salt and served with a side of nostalgia for simpler times. Therefore, dear patrons, heed the call of the Apple Pan, where culinary dreams take flight and the wonders that lie within await your indulgence.
