The tap water they serve, even though it arrives in a nice carafe with mint and citrus, always tastes bad to me. This doesn’t usually matter, as their coffee and tea drinks are excellent. I used to frequent Blu Jam more often, but now with their adoption of their new ordering system I feel it’s not as friendly as it used to be.
This is not a full service restaurant. There is a QR code menu where one pre pays, including tax and tip. One can also opt to walk up to the counter, order, pay and then find a table. Food was brought promptly. My cobb salad was tasty. I especially liked the crispy bacon! My friend ordered the Chilaquilas and she said it was good! She also ordered a latte and it was presented with a nice drawn foamy heart. The noise level is quite loud due to the high ceilings and glass walls, thus the 4 stars. I had to lean in to talk with my friend. Check in on Yelp, and as of today, you get a free Ginger Shot per guest! We had to ask our server several times for our shot, but we finally got one, each! You can also CHECK IN on the Yelp waiting list ahead of your arrival so you don't have to wait. We walked in around 1pm on a Sunday and didn't have to wait, but once we sat down, a lot of folks walked in. This is a breakfast/lunch spot on the street level of an office building, facing Wilshire. Metered street parking. The average cost per person is around $25.
Hands down the best omelette I've ever had. I had to build your own omelette, and you can add up to four toppings. I opted with mushrooms, garlic, onions, and chicken sausage. It comes with sourdough bread and minced potatoes.
This place is so popular but when I think of it I just feel it's average. The service was average. The vibe was average and the food was good but average. It was well tasting food but nothing super unique. I wouldn't tell someone not to go here but I also wouldn't go back.
Hands down the best breakfast I've ever had. Loved it
