This restaurant is a charming spot with pretty good food. I tried the brie burger with fries and it was delicious, especially the melted brie cheese. However, I'm not sure if it was worth the $20 price tag, which is the most I've ever paid for a burger. The hummus wasn't the best, but the mac and cheese was tasty, though the portion size was a bit small. Happy hour menu offers various foods and discounts on drinks from 4-6pm. The appetizers are small and pricey even during happy hour, but the atmosphere is popular. Parking is paid on the street at $1-2 per hour, which is reasonable compared to DTLA. There were a few instances where we were forgotten about and had to ask for water, menus, and plates, especially since we were a large group. Overall, for the higher prices, I expected better service.
The staff was incredibly friendly. We had brunch and were seated quickly on a weekday. The breakfast sandwich was delicious and the sweet potato fries were also excellent and not soggy. The coffee was fantastic.
