It’s soft but lacks flakiness and a buttery quality. The same texture applies to the ham and cheese croissant I tried. Thankfully, the everything seasoning with poppy seeds and white sesame on top elevated the otherwise mediocre experience. On a more positive note, I tried the chocolate pistachio twist, which I enjoyed more than the croissants due to its clearer texture and distinct flavors. The star of the café, however, is the house-made sandwiches. I’ve sampled two so far and loved both. My first choice was the “Have A Ball,” featuring flavorful, juicy meatballs and fresh tomatoes. On my return visit, I opted for the “Against the Stream” sandwich with lox, cream cheese, and cucumber on a Jerusalem Bagel—an oversized, soft, oval bagel that's roughly twice the size of a typical New York bagel. It was both refreshing and filling. While I’m not particularly fond of the café’s service (which is neither unfriendly nor warm) or the interior (which feels a bit dim and old-fashioned), the shaded backyard patio is a hidden gem, provided you’re lucky enough to snag a table there.
The parking situation was really frustrating. The spaces were so cramped that I saw a car back into another one. However, once I stepped inside the bakery, I was amazed; I had been eager to visit for a long time. The staff at the register were incredibly nice and welcoming. Their pastries and bread were fresh, flavorful, and absolutely delicious. The customer service was excellent. There’s a great variety of items to choose from. Even though it’s quite a distance from where I live, it’s definitely worth the drive. I highly recommend it!
I'm not exaggerating when I say that the chocolate halva muffin completely transformed my experience. It was pure bakery bliss. And believe it or not, it was gluten free! Although I can eat gluten and indulge in baked goods, I'm usually skeptical about gluten-free options, especially muffins. However, this muffin was as fluffy, moist, and delicious as the best chocolate cake you could ever imagine. The soft, creamy halva center was exceptionally tasty, perfectly integrated throughout the muffin, and complemented the rich chocolate flavor beautifully—without the chalky texture or strong taste that halva sometimes has. If this muffin could be turned into a cake, I would order it for every special occasion for the rest of my life. I can't wait to have this muffin again!
Really nice restaurant with soft Italian music in the background! I got both the MELTITUDE OF TUNA and HO BARCELONA.. really really good! Mixed variety of breads of your choosing to go with you Hot or Cold Sandwhich..price range is up there! But definitely worth the flavor :
This place has one of the best turkey sandwiches I've had. The multi grain sourdough bread is a treat and the ingredients are fresh. The chipotle sauce was not to spicy but definitely added a kick. Finally the little cheese square inside the sandwich is the cherry on top. And you get a pickle or two on the side. I've been coming here over the past 6-7 years and am surprised at how great and consistent the food is here. Not too pricy either.
