California Donut - Los Angeles

I'm glad this place is open 24 hours! Most of the menu items are great, but I wasn't impressed with the apple fritter. It was heavy and overly greasy. While some parts were crispy and light, the bottom was just a hard, oily sponge—almost inedible. However, I've tasted nearly everything else and have enjoyed it all. The smoothies and milk tea are a bit sweeter and thicker than at most places, and the coffee is on par with other donut shops. Just keep in mind it's been sitting on a hot plate for a while, so it's a bit burnt and very bitter, but it packs a strong punch!

I used to visit this place back in middle school when I lived nearby. I'm not sure if the owners are the same as they were back then, but I absolutely loved their donut holes!

These donuts smell and taste so good, perfect cloudy fluffy texture. The toppings were great too.

I didn't think it was worth waiting in line for, but it was better than I expected. The unicorn panda donuts are so cute!! *Panda donuts do not contain filling. If you let us know right away after seeing the showcase, we will give it to you! The staff is also friendly. Among the mochi donuts, the cinnamon and sugar-covered version is delicious. Feels like Korean glutinous rice donuts. I like the beige syrup topped with strawberries because it tastes like peanut butter. The taste of gaining weight? lol I'll have to eat it again next time.
