When I attended UCLA let's just say a looooong time ago Covel Commons was not known for good food. Hedrick Hall's dining hall was the best, by far. Just looking at these pictures and reviews, however, how things have changed! The interior looks the same, but the food way more elegant and elaborate or tasty looking.
This restaurant is my number one place. Of all restaurants I know I like it most. I always suggests to my friends to go to that place. Whenever I want to go to a delicious lunchon, this is the place that comes right away to my mind. fresh and all kinds of food and a rich menu.professional crew, and pleasant spirit. In addition to that, the charge is honest. I sent my friends to this place with great pleasure.
During my time in college, I experienced something new, four years of extraordinary meals from a singulary unexpected source. To say that both the meals and the memories have challenged my preconceptions about dining is an understatement. They have rocked me to my core. It is difficult to imagine a more humble group than those of the staff now cooking at Covel, who are, in my opinion nothing less than the finest staff in all the world. I will be returning to Covel soon, hungry for more.
My wife is an UCLA student and they don't make dorm food like they used. First of all, they make really small portions which is great so you don't feel stuffed and can try different things. Second of all, the food has really high quality taste. Tonight I had scallops...that is right I said scallops. Covel focuses on Italian and Mediterranean as you will get a. Good mix of hummus and Mediterranean salads along with pastas. One night we came and it was an Italian theme where they had additional prosciutto, cheeses, and olives spreads. All that was missing was some good wine, but of course none here!
