Holy Roly Ice Cream - Los Angeles

It’s been a few months since I had the ice cream here, and I remember feeling a bit disappointed because the taste and texture didn’t quite meet my expectations. We chose this place because it was one of the few dessert options available in Koreatown late at night, so it was our best bet. The black sesame flavor lacked sufficient taste and was rather bland. I also tried the Korean rice cake, which I found to be better than the black sesame. Overall, I don’t think I’ll be returning for the ice cream because the flavors just weren’t there for me. However, they are quite popular for their ice cream, so perhaps there are other flavors that might be worth trying.

This is a fad that's definitely not worth it. Takes forever, is expensive, and the ice cream isn't anything special. Go elsewhere.

Totally recommend this place. It was an experience to watch them make my order. Both the Affogato and strawberry graham were yummy!!! They give you a cup of expresso on the side so you pour what you want when you want it. Surprisingly, the ice cream doesn't melt as fast as regular ice cream. Yummy yummy yummy!!!

The restaurant is beautiful, but the portions are quite small for the price. A child-sized meal costs $7.25.

Holy Rolling Egg is a fantastic spot to enjoy dessert after a satisfying meal. The staff are incredibly friendly, and they prepare orders promptly. One of the coolest aspects is that you can actually watch them make the ice cream from start to finish, and they can customize it to your liking. I know they have a few locations in Los Angeles—one in Koreatown and another on Melrose Avenue. The Melrose location has a cozy, intimate atmosphere, but seating is quite limited. On a hot sunny day, it can get crowded, so be prepared to find parking nearby. I had to park on the street with a meter. I tried the dark chocolate roll, and I could have eaten four of them! As a chocolate lover, I was thrilled with my choice. It was refreshingly cool and made for a perfect light dessert after a delicious dinner.
