Jersey Mike's Subs - Los Angeles

While waiting for my order, I couldn't help but overhear a conversation between the manager and a young employee. The way she spoke to him was disrespectful and rude in front of others. I found her unprofessional and hope that corporate does a better job at hiring managers with proper people skills training. Instead of encouraging employee growth, these managers were discouraging young employees who may be new to the workforce. None of the employees seemed to have smiles, and the energy in the restaurant was uncomfortable. It was clear that this behavior stemmed from the manager, who made everyone look nervous. If a manager needs to address a personal issue with an employee, it should be done privately instead of embarrassing them publicly. I saw the young employee looking embarrassed, so I took a moment to thank him and encourage him. I later found out the manager's name was Ameena, and her negative energy was evident. Employees should be trained to smile more, which would improve customer service and make the atmosphere more welcoming. With better leadership, the restaurant could be a more positive working environment. People may still visit for the name and food, but the negative energy needs to change. Manager Ameena, please learn to respect your employees and leave personal problems at home. Be kind to these new employees as they enter the workforce, and provide positive training instead of being harsh. Who knows what else may be happening if others don't speak up about it.

I typically visit the Jersey Mike's in Granada Hills, but this was my first time coming to the Northridge location. I was disappointed to find that the entire front counter was very unclean. Despite how busy the restaurant was, there were enough employees to keep the place clean.

The service at this restaurant was terrible. I ordered through DoorDash and they said they never received the order. The staff was extremely impolite and unhelpful, refusing to provide any solutions.

When I call to place an order the employees just pickup and hang up. Tried calling 4 times they ignored my call twice and picked up and hung up on me twice.

Worst Jersey Mikes I have ever had. There was hardly ANY meat on my sandwich. Avoid this location.
