We decided to let the waiter choose our dishes and most of them were excellent, although a couple were just okay and we probably wouldn't order them again. While the food was delicious, we did find it to be a bit pricey. However, we understand that part of what you are paying for is the overall dining experience and the reputation of the restaurant. I am glad we had the opportunity to try it once, but next time I would prefer to select my own dishes now that I have sampled a few items.
We did the omakase and while the regular one was very good, the vegan one was extremely underwhelming. The steamed veggies on top of rice sushi style was completely flavorless and when we finally got tofu, it came without seasoning and just in a broth and not a sauce that would actually stick to the tofu. For $225 it was definitely not worth it.
Not bad but massively overrated. A solid option but there are way better spots out there.
We got the vegan menu and it was amazing. It’s a separate menu with impressive dishes. We got the garden roll, dragon roll, aka roll, karaage tofu, and vegan tuna crispy rice rolls. We recommend them all. Everything was a culinary joy and our server was a gem. Such a great experience.
The food was decent. We tried the delicate salmon nigiri, as well as the yellowtail ceviche, crispy rice, and salmon roll, which were all okay. I returned a cucumber drink as it lacked alcohol and the flavors didn't mix well. However, the lychee martini, jonetsu margarita, blackberry smash, and silent assassin were all very good. I would come back for the drinks only. The bar area had a great atmosphere.
