La Villita Cantina - Los Angeles

The food was fantastic, but the service was a bit lacking. We had to wait a considerable amount of time to get a dessert menu after asking for it.

This restaurant is a fantastic choice for delicious Mexican cuisine! Their Blackberry Basil Margarita is delightful. The location is very convenient to UCB, making it a perfect spot for a tasty meal before a show.

The parking was not great, but the atmosphere was lovely. The food was a bit bland and we didn't receive any salsa or hot sauce. However, the drinks were delicious. I would come back and request spicier food or ask for salsa and hot sauce.

The restaurant had a beautiful interior setting, the food was decent, but the service was subpar. We had to wait a long time for our food and the waitstaff seemed disinterested.

We waited for 5 minutes to be greeted and seated by the busy host at the stand, and another 15 minutes before our waiter took our drink order. There were lots of people rushing around, but no one seemed to be carrying anything. Once we had ordered, however, the food came out quickly. The meal was tasty, although the flavors were a bit one-note (cinnamon and liquid smoke are prominent on the menu). The food here is always served slightly less than hot for some reason. The guacamole is outstanding, as are the drinks. However, if you're looking for a quiet conversation, this might not be the best spot as it can get quite loud!
