Restaurant is extremely small space I do recommend management does a better job communicating with patrons when they enter (it was completely disorganized and no one seemed to provide clear directions to anyone). Overall, really enjoyed the food here. Would not recommend the potatoes seemed days old, dry, cold. However, the grits were AMAZING hot, buttery, creamy, seasoned amazing. Bacon and eggs were good. Banana Nut Waffles were ok. With the name Banana nut waffle, I expected the banana, nut, and any flavoring to be incorporated into the waffle mix. However, it was a plain waffles topped with fresh banana and pecans so for those who don’t mind that you’ll love it, but I wasn’t a fan of it. However, the fresh homemade strawberry lemonade was AMAZING it was just perfect. Finally, M’Dears has some homemade desserts (cakes and pies). The Sock It To Me cake was in fact a pound cake with a slight swirl (that’s not how that cake is made so I did not enjoy that at all). Enjoyed the 7 up pound cake. Overall, this is definitely a place to stop by for some good food and homemade desserts if you’re in Los Angeles I’ll definitely be back (hopefully some improvements are made to the service operations). Overall, staff were nice and attentive. Because the physical space is small, please be patient It’s worth the wait and I look forward to returning.
My first time was last week I’ve been going every day since food was great to me
We had a large group, and they sat us in the back lounge. The food was good and it did not take the chef long to prepare our meal.
The waffles and fish are good. This can be a hit or miss spot, depending on whom is managing the kitchen that day. Still a homey feel restaurant to check out.
