These guys are clearly foodies and know how to cook, pair and present food and I’m all for it especially where it’s lacking in desi food in LA. Small menu but what a tasty looking menu! Who needs a long list of junk when 4 rolls and amazing sides are enough. Perhaps a little extra salad/slaw inside would make this a little more perfect. I’ll see if I can ask for that next time! I’m not a vegetarian so will try the chicken and beef rolls next! Can’t wait. Go amazing halal food! Well done guys, u killed it
Excellent food! I read about paratta in the LA times and it didn't disappoint. The food was fresh, authentic and made with a lot of love. The chutneys were also yum! We will definitely be back to try more of their menu. The current location is pick up only and there's no place outside to sit and eat. Would recommend timing your order so you arrive as the order is ready or you'll have some time to kill on your hands :
5 stars bc the food is delicious, but everything else is .....Grotesquely overpriced given that this place seems to be run by an EXTREME CHEAPSKATE. Like on what planet is it justifiable to charge $16+ for 1 tiny chicken tikka wrap ? This is street food at the end of the day Its delicious but DRENCHED in oil smaller than a tv remote. . .It is operated out of a an old dingy ghost kitchen in dtla. That raises the question of if those even get health grades? Anyways the system of ordering is completely virtual, you won't even be able to reach an actual person until literally right before you get your food. The whole process is frustrating designed to be very convenient for the owner at the detriment of the customer's sanity. I circled up and down the street like 2 3 times bc it was dark and the location is in a super sketch area, making it harder to spot. They have a card board sign that they prop up outside the ghost kitchen but it's not helpful. It takes like 40 mins minimum before the food will be ready. I literally drove up the block got mcdonald's while waiting for paratta The packaging is cute and super legit i get it, but I would rather have the food handed to me in a brown paper bag if it means a better ordering system and/or better cost efficiency. Overall I refuse to eat here again bc i dont wanna deal with the headache.
Why is not possible to make anything in your menu WITHOUT ONIONS ? if I have an allergy. It’s ridiculous!
Paratta serves amazing food! We had the kathi rolls and samosa and can't wait to be back. At their current location you just place order and pick up. There's no place to sit and eat. The ingredients are fresh the paneer was so soft and the chutneys were yum. So glad this place exists! Will definitely be back!
