Tacos El Unico - Los Angeles

I spend under $20.00 bucks for 2 meals for me and my son. I love this place, and the consistency of the carna asada stays the same. The nachos bomb the quesidilla bomb. I have been eating from here for 23 years. My spot!!!

Today, I finally went inside to sit down and eat my favorite fish tacos, they are simply the best. They tasted even better inside. I also ordered the mini churros, light sugar. They were delicious too. The inside dine-in experience is better. I didn’t know about all the cool condiments inside. They have chipotle grilled, pickled, and raw onions along with the carrots and jalapeño Yes! The restroom was clean and secure. I was even further impressed with Tacos El Unico the home of the best fish tacos. I haven’t gone to Tacos El Unico in person yet. However, my wife and daughter have become regulars there. I know the neighborhood can be sketchy for outsiders. However, their extra-large Fish tacos are the best-tasting fish tacos I have ever had. (As a pescatarian, I’ve eaten a lot of fish tacos. The vegetables are fresh, and the fish is perfectly grilled and seasoned. I highly recommend El Unico’s, and judging by how often my wife and daughter go; I know the other food on the menu is good too.

Don't order the Regular Mexican hamburger. Every time I order, the bun seems like it's been sitting in storage for weeks (kind of hard). I've ordered the Jr. Mexican asada burger a couple of times (giving them several chances) and only ONCE did they properly cook the meat. Looks undercooked the past couple of times. I've eaten the asada fries and they aren't anything to rave about, the meat is undercooked here as well. The horchata doesn't taste authentic, it seems like a powdered mix you just add water to. The churros are decent.

The veggie burritos are among the best in South L.A. and I highly recommend them. Based on my experiences, I am always highly satisfied with the overall value for the price I paid.

WARNING: both the green and red salsas are spicy!our chicken, beef, and al pastor tacos were fine. so is the jamaica. better than no tacos, and the prices are good. some places around here are charging 5 dollars a taco! its insane!!!!Food: 3/5
