Tasty Noodle House - Los Angeles

This restaurant is a fantastic spot for delicious local Chinese cuisine! We stopped by after landing at LAX for a quick lunch, but we arrived just after their lunch hours. We ordered the mapo tofu (which was the main reason I wanted to try this place), cumin lamb, and a large plate of Shanghai rice cake. The mapo tofu was good, but not the only reason to come back. It had a subtle spiciness and nice bean flavor, with silky tofu cubes in a not-too-thick sauce. We left feeling satisfied and thankful for the pleasant weather.

I ordered pan-fried dumplings, Mongolian beef, soup dumplings, and chili shrimp at this restaurant. The service was good, but the food was not very satisfying. The soup dumplings were missing soup, the noodles were overcooked, and the beef tasted fishy and greasy. The prices were reasonable for the area, but I would recommend trying a different restaurant that may be slightly more expensive.

My fiancé and I had a fantastic experience with our curry udon meal today! The udon was perfectly chewy and the curry had a delicious taste. We were impressed by how neatly the food was packed. The curry broth was served on the side, the vegetables were kept separate from the noodles (we initially thought they were already mixed in), and the tempura and katsu were in their own containers. We will definitely be returning, and possibly dining in if we feel comfortable. Can't wait to have the udon again soon!

I like this place because the waitress is less than 30 minutes and eating is amazing. I always order the tempura udon, but this time I had the curry tempura udon, the broth was very rich in ants, the curry was delicious with the tempura.

Yes! They are open during shelter in place! Instead of ordering via uber eats, I came in person to place my order because I noticed my favorite chicken and kinoko cream sauce wasn't an option. It is though! Perfect! I recommend adding extra udon for $3 because portion size became two days meal, worth it. Free appetizer for pick up! Tempura gyoza was still crispy upon arrival home, an hour later.
