The Backhouse Koreatown - Los Angeles

Food and service was fantastic. Our 10 year old “picky” eater LOVED the shrimp with garlic noodles. Husband loved their specialty dark beer option. This place was suggested to us by our hotel concierge as a local “favorite.” Caesar, our waiter, was fantastic. All the way from NC, many thanks.

First timer!! Came all the way from San Francisco and my son brought me here for dinner! Service was great, our order came in about 10 minutes! We order 9 different dishes. From shrimp tacos, seafood fried rice, clams, mussles to the lobster roll! A few more dishes that I do not recall the names. EVERY dish was amazing! Oh, then there was the strawberry martini...perfect! Can't wait for my next visit to town I'll be starting from the backside of the menu this time!!

Without a doubt one of the best seafood places I ever been to. I live in Las Vegas so I truly have high expectations when it comes to food and service. The food was excellent. I had the shrimp tacos, charbroiled lobster and uni pasta.. all of them tasty and fresh! Just an amazing experience all together. I plan to go back every time I'm in town visiting!

Met up with friends and had a blast! Great seafood selection the seafood tower and sea bass were to die for!

The last time we came here was on a Sunday ,I bought 10 people who had never been here before. We rushed here after a concert at the Hollywood Bowl. We arrived 30 minutes prior to closing . The place was full except the the big table for large groups. We were told the place we already closed because it had been slow. When I pointed out they were supposed to be open for another half hour,the hostess seemed annoyed. Well I was annoyed with them after being 10 new customers only to be turned away because someone felt like going home early. Pissed is the word that comes to mind. Slow night when every table is full? So we were forced to go to a competitor the Volcano. But we tried again last night,and it was amazing!! The oysters and albacore with garlic were great as usual. Two of us devoured the Filet Mignon, that was perhaps the best I 've ever had. So tender and flavourful. I 'm gonna bring the same large group in March. Hopefully the staff will have there head out of there ass next time as well!! I love this place when they serve according to their posted hours, my advice is call to see if they are 'Still ' open when going late. If you do get service, look forward to amazing food!!!!
