I’ve never felt like I became friends with a chef over a meal, but honestly I will keep coming back just to hear more about his life and culinary philosophy. I don’t usually leave reviews or use terms like “culinary philosophy” by the way, but it was just that great of an experience. It has been a rough year for everyone in LA, this was such a wonderful way to kick off the holiday season.
Seated at a table near the door. Ordered a prix fixe for 4. Service took forever. Food was ok. Pricy for the experience not upscale. The free edamame for the 40 minute wait between courses didn’t heal the pain.
A pleasant surprise with the quality of food and service. We were very satisfied with all 6 courses of the kaiseki omakase. Chefs and staff were all very friendly and courteous. Will definitely go back again to this hidden gem.
We had their $120/person “experience” which was fantastic. 5 yummy and beautifully presented courses and we each had 2 of their list of special cocktails. I know most restaurants also have their own cocktails but these were unusual and extremely good. The cocktails we chose were not like any we previously experienced. The food was extremely fresh and prepared well. Dessert was included. If you like Japanese food, this is the place to go. I actually had better food at this place than i have had at Nobu.
The food is fresh and noble, with all the color, flavor and flavor, very delicious! The level of the chef is top notch! The service is great! The restaurant is exquisite and comfortable! The only drawback is that parking is inconvenient and parking on the street are very frustrated.
